B-SoM Setup

The Particle B-SoM can be set up in two different ways, depending on your development needs. You can either install it on a M.2 Evaluation board (old hardware), or use the M.2 SoM breakout board for maximum flexibility when evaluating and designing custom hardware.

Using the B-SoM with the M.2 SoM Breakout Board​

  1. Insert the B-SoM into the M.2 socket on the breakout board.
  2. Connect the Cellular and BLE antennas.
  3. Install the power module on the breakout board.
  4. Power the board with the supplied AC/DC power adapter
  5. Plug in the battery
  6. Connect the breakout board to your computer using a USB cable.
  7. Follow the guided instructions at setup.particle.io to claim your device and complete setup.
