Welcome to Photon 2 Developer Docs
The Photon 2 is a Gen-4 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth development board in the Particle family of devices. It provides dual-band wireless connectivity in a Feather-compatible form factor for building connected products.

Overview
Photon 2 is based on the Realtek RTL8721DM system-on-chip, which combines a dual-core Arm Cortex-M33 microcontroller with integrated Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5 LE.
The board supports multiple power options, offers a full set of mixed-signal GPIO, and includes both a PCB antenna and a U.FL connector for external antennas.
