M1 Enclosure

The M1 Enclosure is a rugged, IP67-rated weatherproof case designed to securely house Particle Tachyon, Muon, or Raspberry Pi-compatible boards. It provides robust environmental protection, flexible mounting options, and integrated connectivity features.

Overview​

The M1 Enclosure makes it easy to deploy your Tachyon, Muon, or Raspberry Pi projects in the field. Designed with expandability in mind, it features integrated mounting for expansion HATs, pass-through cutouts for USB-C, PCIe, DSI, and CSI cables, and internal space for accessories such as a GNSS antenna or battery.

Connectivity & Antennas​

Cellular, GNSS, Wi-Fi, and LoRa Support​

The M1 Enclosure supports multiple antenna configurations, including:

  • Cellular Antennas β†’ Mounted on the lid, connected to Muon’s U.FL connector.
  • GNSS Antennas β†’ Installed near the front status LED.
  • Wi-Fi & BLE Antennas β†’ Mounted internally, near the carrier board.
  • LoRa Antennas β†’ Can use one of the bulkhead SMA connectors.

Mounting Options​

The M1 Enclosure offers a versatile mounting plate, identical to the Monitor One, featuring:

  • Screw/Bolt Mounting β†’ Secure the plate with M4 or #8 screws.
  • Strap Mounting β†’ Use 15mm straps for flexible mounting.
  • Magnetic Mounting β†’ Integrated magnets allow quick attachment to metal surfaces.
